Short Sight

Signs and symptoms
Distance vision is blurred. Near vision may not be a problem.

Cause
If uncorrected, the lens in a myopic eye will focus light in front of the retina at the back of the eye.

Remedy
Introducing a minus (concave) lens in front of the eye causes the image focus to be pushed back onto the retina, giving clear distance vision.
